Mahindra's Rafi, Steven Dias to join Churchill

May 12, 2010 19:57 IST

With their management's decision to disband the team, Mahindra United's leading players Mohammad Rafi, Steven Dias and Dharmaraj Ravanan have decided to join Churchill Brothers next season.

Churchill, in turn, are likely to lose R Vashum to East Bengal while goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya and midfielder Ogba Kalu are in talks with newly-crowned I-League champions Dempo.

Salgaocar, another Goan club, with their survival in the I-League certain, are on the verge of signing Air India players Khelemba Singh, Syed Farid and Arnab Das Sarma, it is learnt.

Mohun Bagan, meanwhile, have netted this year's surprise goal poacher Muritala Ali from Mahindra United.

Not to be left behind, East Bengal have signed JCT's Nigerian midfielder Penn Orji while also in talks with the same club are Gurwinder Singh and Baljit Sahni. They are also targeting Mahindra goalkeeper Subashish Roy Chowdhury.
