Shiv Kapur opened his campaign in the new golf season with a creditable 13th place finish in the USD 170,940 Asia-Okinawa Open, his first tournament on Japanese soil.

Kapur, the Rookie of the Year and winner of season-ending Volvo Masters last week, finished with a card of four-over 75 on a difficult day for scoring and ended at one-under 283.
