Indian F1 GP tickets at reduced rates

October 20, 2011 14:01 IST

Jaypee Sports International Limited, the organisers of the Indian Grand Prix, has decided to release its reserved quota of tickets at special prices.

Instead of shelling out Rs 35,000 for a three-day combined grandstand ticket, Formula One fans can now watch the main race on the final day for Rs 15,000.

The grandstand at the 1,10,000 capacity Buddh International Circuit in Delhi can accommodate about 20,000 spectators.

A seat in the classic stand will cost Rs 4,000 for race day instead of Rs 6,500 for three days, which includes the Friday practice sessions and qualifying on Saturday.

Similarly, a ticket for the picnic stands can be bought for Rs 3,000 instead of Rs 6,000.

The offer is, however, not valid on tickets for the premium stand, located next to the grandstand and priced at Rs 12,500.

Unlike the normal tickets, which are valid for three days -- October 28, 29 and 30th -- the special offer tickets are valid only for the final day.
