German champions Bayern Munich have signed teenage winger Alphonso Davies from Major League Soccer (MLS) side Vancouver Whitecaps in a record deal for a transfer from the North American top-flight.

The Whitecaps said the transfer fee and add-ons for the 17-year-old Canadian could total more than $22 million, the most received by an MLS club.

Davies, who was born in Ghana, has scored three goals in 20 appearances for the Whitecaps this season.

"Alphonso Davies is a very big talent," Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic told the club's website.

"At the age of 17, he offers a lot of promise for the future. Alphonso already possesses great ability, which is why a lot of top clubs were keen on him. I'm delighted he's chosen FC Bayern... "

Davies, who turns 18 in November, has signed a contract with Bayern until June 2023 and will officially join them in January following the conclusion of the MLS season.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says he has yet to reach an agreement with the Premier League club about his future. The Wales international, who joined the club in 2008, is in the final year of his contract.

"We'll see what happens, but my agent and the club are talking," Ramsey told Sky Sports News. "I'm not sure exactly what it hinges on, I'm just leaving it to them to discuss and to figure it out but we are yet to come to an agreement."

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has said the 27-year-old is an "important player" for the club and that he is eager for him to extend his stay.

Arsenal kick off their pre-season International Champions Cup campaign against Atletico Madrid in Singapore later on Thursday.

Chelsea have signed 38-year-old former England goalkeeper Rob Green to a one-year contract as back-up for Thibaut Courtois and Willy Caballero, the Premier League club said.

Green, who also played for West Ham United, Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City, was released by Huddersfield Town at the end of last season having made just one League Cup appearance.

"It has been a pretty dramatic time for me and I can't wait to get started. I am absolutely delighted and it is a thrill and an honour to be here," Green, who won 12 England caps, told the club's website.

Fulham have signed German playmaker Andre Schuerrle on a two-year loan deal from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, the Premier League club said.

The 27-year-old, a World Cup winner with Germany in 2014, will be eager to overcome injury troubles he has faced in recent years, with a muscle fibre problem limiting him to just 18 appearances in the German top-flight last season.

"Fulham were the first club that showed interest in me - that was something that I appreciated a lot, and one of the reasons I wanted to come here," Schuerrle told the club's website.

"I love ball possession, I love attacking, and I love making runs, so I think it could be perfect. I have to fight for my place and I have to show my quality so that I can be a member who really helps the team."

Schuerrle will be eager to regain the dominant form he had during his prime at former clubs Chelsea and Wolfsburg after his underwhelming spell at Dortmund led to his omission from Germany's squad for this year's World Cup.

Fulham have recruited four new players so far as they prepare for their first top-flight season since the 2013/14 campaign.
