The sports world witnessed a gamut of emotions last week.
While the untimely death of young Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes was mourned by fans and sportsmen from varied fields, there was cheer in other sporting circles.
There was much excitement for tennis fans. It was the first time that Andy Murray teamed up with Maria Sharapova for a tennis match.
There was also some great football, rugby and skating action from across the globe.
