Top German club Bayern Munich will play a charity football match to support the street children of Kolkata.

A 22-member All-stars squad comprising former World Cup winners Paul Breitner, Reimond Aumann, Andreas Brehme, Hans Pflugler, Stefan Reuter and others will arrive in Kolkata to play a charity football match against All-stars East Bengal at Yuba Bharati Krirangan on November 17.

FC Bayern, winners of Germany's Bundesliga, have been quite active for the past three years in promoting soccer and other community services in the city.

Towards Life Foundation, an NGO working for Kolkata's street children, has convinced the German team and Indian soccer giants East Bengal to play a friendly match for the benefit of street children of the city.

Former international defender of East Bengal Sudhir Karmakar will lead his side with Goutam Sarkar as his deputy in the floodlight game.

The funds to be raised from the match will go to the welfare of the poor.
