McGrady, Wesley help Rockets crown Kings

Tracy McGrady recorded 22 points and David Wesley added 21 as the Houston Rockets ended an 11-game losing streak in Sacramento with a 111-96 victory over the Kings Sunday.

Mike James scored 20 points off the bench while Yao Ming chipped in with 17 as Houston (37-25) triumphed at the Arco Arena for the first time since March 1999 to post its fourth straight win.

Peja Stojakovic led the way with 21 points but could not prevent Sacramento's three-game winning streak being snapped.

Cuttino Mobley added 20 points for the Kings while Mike Bibby had 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The Kings placed Brad Miller on the injured list before the game, one day after he broke his left leg during a practice shooting drill.

In Minneapolis, Jason Terry collected 22 points and 12 assists to help the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-93.

Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Mavericks while Marquis Daniels added 16 points, including 11 in the final quarter.

Kevin Garnett paced Minnesota's offense with 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

In Los Angeles, Elton Brand picked up 20 points and 11 rebounds against his former team as the Clippers defeated the Chicago Bulls 83-78.

Corey Maggette added 19 points for the Clippers (28-35), who have now matched last year's win total.

Eddy Curry had 19 points and eight rebounds for the Bulls.

In New York, Rashard Lewis scored 23 points to carry the Seattle SuperSonics to a 90-80 victory over the Knicks.

Ray Allen added 19 points for the Sonics while Reggie Evans notched 16 rebounds and eight points.

Tim Thomas and Stephon Marbury registered 20 points apiece for New York.

In Orlando, Vince Carter poured in 33 points to push the New Jersey Nets to a 98-82 win over the Magic.

Jacque Vaughn added 22 points for the Nets while Jason Kidd had a triple-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10

assists.

Grant Hill returned after missing three games with an injured shin to score 23 points for the Magic, as did Hedo Turkoglu.

In Toronto, Donyell Marshall tied an NBA record with 12 three-pointers as the Raptors walloped the Philadelphia 76ers 128-110.

Marshall had a career-high 38 points as the Raptors went 21-for-34 from three-point range to set a new league record. Atlanta created the previous mark of 19 'threes' in 1996.

The Raptors also set a franchise record for points.

Allen Iverson led Philadelphia with 32 points and eight assists.

In Boston, 20 points from Paul Pierce drove the Celtics to a 105-101 win over the Washington Wizards.

Raef LaFrentz added 19 points for the Celtics while Antoine Walker chipped in with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Larry Hughes contributed 26 points for Washington. Gilbert Arenas added 25 and Jared Jeffries had 13 points and 16 rebounds.

In Auburn Hills, Michigan, Richard Hamilton claimed 15 points as the Detroit Pistons beat the Utah Jazz 64-62 despite recording only six points in the fourth quarter.

Rasheed Wallace had 10 points and 10 rebounds for Detroit while Ben Wallace hauled in 12 rebounds.

Utah's Andrei Kirilenko led all scorers with 27 points and 14 rebounds.

In Cleveland, LeBron James amassed 35 points to guide the Cavaliers to a 98-86 win over the Indiana Pacers.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas added 16 points and 11 rebounds for Cleveland. Reggie Miller had 29 points for Indiana.

In Denver, Steve Nash piled up 25 points and 11 assists as the Phoenix Suns cooled off the Nuggets 106-101.

Joe Johnson picked up 23 points and 11 rebounds as the Suns ended Denver's eight-game winning streak. Kenyon Martin had 21 points and nine rebounds for the Nuggets.
