Indian athletes shine at BMC Gold race

Indian middle and long distance runners Chatholi Hamza, Sajeesh Joseph and Sinimol Paulose put up a good show at BMC Gold race competition, at Watford, grabbing gold medals in their respective events.

Hamza won the men's 1500m, clocking 3:40.90s while beating Steve Davies (3:45.92s) of Belgrave and Daniel Pettit (3:48.27s).

Sajeesh Joseph timed 1:48.25s to win the men's 800m, ahead of Tim Bayley (1:49.2s) of Belgrave and Chris Moss (1:49.39s) of Cardiff.

Sinimole Paulose won the women's 800m with a timing of 2:03.87s, pipping Rachael Ogden (2:05.97s) of Worthing and Ingvill Makestad (2:06.92s) of Norway.

Indian athletes will now move to Stockholm for the Sollentuna Grand Prix on July 8.
