India ended its sepaktakraw campaign sans a win after both the men's and women's team lost their final group matches in the doubles event at the Asian Games in Guangzhou on Friday.

The Indian men's combination of Gopen Singh Taiyenjam and Niken Singh Khangembam fought hard before going down 1-2 (21-17, 24-25, 10-15) to the Chinese pair of Jiapeng Yang and Haiyang Zhou in little more than an hour.

The Indian men's duo had earlier lost 1-2 and 0-2 to Japan and Indonesia respectively in their previous group encounters.

The Indian eves too failed to notch up a single win in the doubles event, losing 0-2 to Myanmar in their last Group A match.

The pair of Aruna Devi Mutum and Jimi Devi Okram put up little resistance against their opponents from Myanmar, losing 9-21 12-21.

It was the Indian eves' second defeat in the three-team group after they were crushed by identical 0-2 margin by China in their opener.
