The Renault [ Images ] Formula One team apologised unreservedly to triple world champion Nelson Piquet and his son on Tuesday and agreed to pay them substantial libel damages over last year's Singapore Grand Prix [ Images ] crash scandal.
Renault published a media release on their website last September accusing the Brazilians of lying as part of a blackmail attempt.
