Sol Campbell
Inspirational in defence, Campbell has the pace and power to ward
off marauding attackers.
Martin Keown
Another toughie, Keown is a formidable central defender. He should
lend much-needed support to Campbell.
David Beckam (Captain)
England's hopes rest on Beckam. A workhorse who covers a lot of
ground, he is lethal with aerial passes and in dead ball
situations. Perhaps, the best free-kick specialist in the game.
Paul Scholes
Crafty medio, Scholes is capable of scoring neat goals. However, he's been in indifferent form since last season.
Robbie Fowler
Underrated and underplayed, Fowler is the striker who may just
come into his own at the finals.
Emile Heskey
Big and powerful, Heskey is pacey and poses a threat in the box.
He has a good understanding with his Liverpool teammate, Owen.
Michael Owen
England's hitman, Owen is a prolific scorer. He made his
international debut as a teen, and hasn't looked back ever
since.
Teddy Sheringham
Veteran striker, Sheringham has a neat first touch and serves as a
uselful link between midfield and attack.
Sven Goran Eriksson (Coach)
Eriksson is a cool Swede, who has achieved success in the leagues of Sweden, Portugal and Italy. A soccer pundit, he has the tough task
of guiding a depleted side at Korea, Japan.
