With six days to go before the start of their World Cup campaign, Spain are still missing a vital spark, midfielder Javi de Pedro said on Monday.

"We know we've got the team and the talent to do well," the Real Sociedad player said at the squad's training camp.

Spain's head coach Jose Antonio Camacho "All we need now is to find that extra spark, as well as to complete the acclimatisation process."

Spain play their opening group B game against Slovenia on June 2, when they will need to show a major improvement from performances in two narrow victories over local opposition in Ulsan last week.

"We've got to get it into our heads that this is a great opportunity for Spain," said De Pedro, whose team also take on Paraguay and South Africa in group B.

"We have to get everything right because this only comes around every four years."
