Top seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam Qureshi went down fighting in straight sets to third seeded Russian pair of Michail Elgin and Alexandre Kudryavtsev in the semi-final of the LTAT-SAT Bangkok Open ATP Challenger in Bangkok on Saturday.

The Indo-Pakistani pair lost 6-7(4), 6-7(5) in a thrilling match of the USD 50,000 hard court event.

Bopanna and Qureshi, who survived a tough three-setter against the Austrian-Brazillian pair of Chris Guccione and Marcio Torres on Friday, were sent crashing by their third seeded opponents today in the 16-pair tournament.

Elgin and Kudryavtsev later lost to unseeded duo of Briton Joshua Goodall and Joseph Sirianni of Austria 3-6, 1-6 in the final.
