Seven-times World champion Michael Schumacher [Images] will come out of retirement to make a Formula One comeback with Mercedes [Images] next year at the age of 41, the team said on Wednesday.
Mercedes Motorsports vice-president Norbert Haug told reporters in a telephone news conference that a contract was signed on Tuesday.
The move reunites the German, who retired from Ferrari [Images] in 2006, with Britain's Ross Brawn [Images] -- the technical director who guided Schumacher to all his titles and who is now the team principal.
