Leander Paes [Images] and Lukas Dlouhy, seeded seventh in US Open [Images], became the first pair to advance to the men's doubles quarter-finals.

The Indo-Czech duo thrashed the South African-Australian combine of Rik De Voest and Ashley Fisher in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 in a match that lasted 69 minutes.

Despite of seven unforced errors in compared to none from their opponent's racket, the Indo-Czech pair didn't face much difficulty and managed an easy win.

The dominance was established right from the start as the seventh seeds got 79 per cent of their first serves in.

Paes and Dlouhy have a tough task ahead as their likely opponents in the last eight will be top seeds Daniel Nestor of Canada [Images] and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia.

The top seeded pair has an easy third round tie against Jarkko Nieminen of Finland and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden.
