English Premier League leaders Chelsea and nearest challengers Liverpool were held to 0-0 home draws on Saturday as Arsenal's [Images] season went from bad to worse with a 3-0 defeat at Manchester City.

Chelsea could find no way through against Newcastle United while Liverpool and Fulham also ended in stalemate.

Troubled Arsenal, who lost at home to Aston Villa last weekend, suffered a drubbing at Manchester City to leave their title hopes in tatters.

With captain William Gallas dropped for questioning the fighting spirit of his team mates, Arsenal capitulated in meek fashion as Stephen Ireland, Robinho and Daniel Sturridge were on target for City.

Fourth-placed Arsenal are 10 points behind Chelsea and Liverpool who are locked on 33 points from 14 games. Manchester United [Images], in third, can close the gap to six points with victory at Aston Villa later.

Hull City twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers won 3-1 at Middlesbrough while bottom club West Bromwich Albion went down 1-0 at Stoke City.
