Bob and Mike Bryan will play at the $ 450,000 Chennai Open in January next year.

Ranked no. 1 for the third consecutive year, the brothers captured their sixth major title at the US Open [Images] in September. Nicknamed the "Wonder Twins" due to their attacking style of play, the duo will feature for the first time in the Chennai event.

The Bryan twins have won 49 tour titles -- including 13 ATP Masters Series titles -- and have completed a career Grand Slam with victories at the French Open (2003), US Open (2005, 2008), Australian Open [Images] (2006 and 2007), and Wimbledon [Images] (2006).

They have also won the Tennis Masters Cup twice (2003 and 2004) and also pocketed the bronze at the Beijing [Images] Olympics [Images]

Confirming their participation, the duo said, "We were always looking forward to visit India and what better way than to play at the first tournament of the year in Chennai. The tournament has grown in stature over the years so we decided to participate this year. We hope we can make a winning start to 2009."
