Saina had no problems in quelling the challenge of third seed Shixian Wang of China, needing just 37 minutes to post a 22-20, 21-12 victory.

The Indian ace, who entered the Beijing [Images] Olympics [Images] quarter-finals, will face ninth seed Sayaka Sato in Sunday's summit clash.

However, another Indian, fifth seed Gurusaidutt's journey in the tournament ended as he went down fighting to third seed Zhengming Wang of China 16-21, 21-17, 17-21 in a thrilling encounter that lasted 47 minutes.
