FIFA moves Club World Cup to UAE from Japan

The Club World Cup will be moved from Japan [Images] to the United Arab Emirates for 2009 and 2010, FIFA president Sepp Blatter said on Tuesday.

Blatter announced that the event would be staged in the UAE for two years, but would return to Japan for 2011 and 2012.

Australia had also presented an "exceptional bid" but had been unsuccessful, Blatter said.
