Paes-Hanley will next face Germany's [Images] Christopher Kas and Dutch Rogier Wassen, who beat Czech duo Leos Friedl and David Skoch 2-6, 6-4, 10-4.

India's Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] and Mark Knowles of Bahamas, seeded fourth, will play their first round match on Saturday against Tomas Berdych and Lukas Dlouhy of the Czech Republic.
