Football superstar David Beckham [Images] attends the Los Angeles Lakers vs the Denver Nuggets basketball game at the Staples Center, California on Sunday, with his sons Brooklyn, 9, and Romeo, 5.

Only two days earlier, the former England [Images] captain had been involved in a tussle with the paparazzi.

Beckham lost his cool when the shutterbugs ceased to stop as he and the family were coming out of an LA restaurant after Victoria's 34th birthday celebrations.

When the cameramen tried to get too close to hia children, Becks, playing a protective father, reportedly pushed them away.

On the football field, Beckham made his presence felt as he assisted two goals in LA Galaxy's 2-2 draw over Houston in the Major League Soccer on Saturday.
