Marcos Baghdatis may have withdrawn from the US $4,16,000 Kingfisher Airlines Mumbai Tennis Open citing a wrist injury, but it didn't prevent the talented Cypriot from making a visit to the metropolis to conduct a tennis clinic for children.

"I suffered a wrist injury in Beijing [Images] and had to pull out of the tournament. I am hoping to start my practice again on Wednesday," said the 22-year-old, who finished runner-up to Roger Federer [Images] in the 2006 Australian Open.

Speaking about the sudden fame that came his way following his stupendous show in Melbourne nearly a year-and-half ago, Baghdatis was candid enough to admit that it took him time to adjust to the rise in fortunes.

"I found it difficult to cope up with it. I was not ready for the fame which followed that performance. I was young and probably not mature enough (to adjust to the fame). It took me a lot of time to stabilise my life," said the former junior winner of the Australian Open crown.

Admitting he needed to become more consistent in his play, he said improvement is needed on his service.

"I am not consistent in my game. For example, my service is not good and I don't put in a lot of my first serves. I have to improve these aspects of my game. This year I have also lost a lot of close matches, and don't know why it happened."
