India had a mixed opening day at USD 10,000 ITF tennis event in Lahore [Images] as National Champion Ashutosh Singh was stunned in the first round even as three other Indian players made the second round.

Sixth-seed Singh, who looked impressive in home ITF events, lost 4-6, 6-7 (2) to unseeded Korean Hyun-Soo Lim on Monday.

Fourth seed Divij Sharan pipped American George Barth 6-4, 6-4 to advance into the second round while Ashwin Vijayragavan got past Bo-Sung Kim of Korea 6-4, 6-2.

Yannick Nelord also secured a second round berth as his Pakistani opponent Shahzad Khan retired when scores were level 1-1 in the first set.
