Champs Mohun Bagan finish unbeaten

Mohun Bagan defeated Mohammedan Sporting 1-0, even as East Bengal slumped to another miserable 2-2 draw against Chirag United in the Kolkata football league on Sunday.

Mohun Bagan, who were already assured of the title, aggregated 36 points, while East Bengal 26.

Bagan thus won the Kolkata Premier League undefeated for the 11th time. Lalampuian netted the only goal of the match in the 87th minute.

In the other match, East Bengal had to settle for a 2-2 draw against Chirag United.

Rahim Nabi gave East Bengal the lead in the 15th minute, but Chirag came back strongly, scoring in the 44th minute through Shankar Oraw and then Theo in the 62nd minute.

Ashim Biswas found the equaliser for East Bengal in the dying minutes.
