India's free fall in football rankings continued as it lost eight spots to be at 165th place in the latest FIFA chart.

India is sandwiched between little known Andorra and Lesotho.

Even eastern neighbours Bangladesh are 10 places ahead of India.

Argentina dethroned world champions Italy as the top football nation. They went up two places from third to occupy the No.1 spot.

Brazil, leaders for four and a half years until January, slipped to third. There were no other changes in the top 10.

Among Asian countries, India also lost two places from previous month's 32nd spot. Iran is the top ranked nation in the continent.
