JCT Mills blanked local outfit Hindustan Aeronautics Sports Club 3-0 in a one-sided eighth round match of the National Football League for the ONGC Cup in Bangalore on Monday.

In the lop-sided match at the Bangalore Football Stadium, the Millmen were well served by their Nigerian imports, forward Chidi Edeh and midfielder Adebayo Tokunbo Adewusi.

The 19-year-old Chidi Edeh made the most of a pass from forward Sunil Chetri in the 16th minute to put his team ahead, while Chetri headed home to double the lead within two minutes.

These two quick goals sealed the match firmly in JCT's favour and the depressed local side could hardly put up a resistance as the game progressed.

In the 90th minute, JCT dealt the final blow as the Nigerian duo combined well with Chidi Edeh heading home from a Adebayo freekick to complete the tally.

With three points from this victory, JCT moved to nine points from eight matches while HAL's tally remained at six.

HAL next take on Dempo in the ninth round on March 17 while JCT's next match will be against Mahindra United in Mumbai on March 25.
