India's Leander Paes [Images] and his Czech partner Martin Damm have been seeded fifth in the men's doubles for next week's Wimbledon championships.

Defending champions, American twins Bob and Mike Bryan were named top seeds in list announced at the All England [Images] Club on Wednesday.

Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek have been seeded 11th.

In the ladies's doubles, India's Sania Mirza [Images], who is teaming up with Israeli Shahar Peer, is seeded 16th.

Four-times defending champion Roger Federer [Images] tops the men's singles seeding with French Open champion Rafael Nadal [Images] of Spain second and American Andy Roddick [Images], twice a runner-up at Wimbledon, third.

Unlike the other Grand Slams where the top 32 seeds in the men's and women's singles are decided purely on world rankings, Wimbledon takes into account results on grass in the past two years, particularly in the men's draw.

The leading women's seeds go according to ranking with world number one Justine Henin [Images], fresh from clinching a hat-trick of French Open titles, at the top. The world's best on clay, she is looking for her first Wimbledon triumph.

Last year's women's winner Amelie Mauresmo is fourth seed, behind Maria Sharapova [Images] and in-form Serb Jelena Jankovic.
