Rohan Bopanna and Aisam Qureshi overcame stiff resistance from America's James Cerretani and Czech Lukas Rosol to advance to the quarter-finals of the US $125,000 Challenger tournament at Segovia, Spain.

The third seed Indo-Pak pair got past the US-Czech pair 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 in the first round on Monday.

However, Bopanna was knocked by Swiss Mitchel Kratochvil 6-3, 6-3 in the opening round in singles on Tuesday.

Qureshi will take on Spain's Adrian Menendez in his first round match later in the day.

Another Indian playing in the event is Mustafa Ghouse, who has paired with Frank Moser of Germany [Images]. The fourth seeded duo will face wild card Spanish pair of Guilermo Alcaide and Oscar Burrieza.
