Bopanna, Qureshi to clash again

Rohan Bopanna set up a second successive quarter-final meeting with his doubles partner Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi of Pakistan after a straight sets victory over German Lars Burgsmuller in the second round of the US $25,000 Challenger tournament in Nottingham on Wednesday.

The sixth seeded Bopanna overpowered Burgsmuller 6-3, 6-2.

Qureshi, the tournament's top seed beat Frenchman Thomas Oger 7-5, 6-2.

The duo were pitted against each other at the same stage last week at the Challenger tournament in Manchester, where Bopanna beat the Pakistani in straight sets.

Bopanna and Qureshi later went on to win the doubles title there.

Meanwhile, Karan Rastogi [Images] reached the doubles quarter-finals of the US $50,000 Challenger in Lexington, USA.

Rastogi and Florin Mergea [Images] of Romania defeated Kamil Capkovic and Martin Klizan from Slovakia 6-3, 6-2 in the first round on Wednesday.
