Jugraj powers Dynamos to victory

Penalty corner expert Jugraj Singh's first goal in the tournament during 'Golden goal' period against Bangalore Lions resulted in Chandigarh Dynamos scoring their first win in the Premier Hockey League on Wednesday.

Deepak Thakur took the corner hit after Chandigarh Dynamos earned their second penalty corner of the match. his hit was stopped by Bruinsma Timo of Netherlands. Jugraj unleashed a powerful grounder to beat goalkeeper Bharat Chetri all ends up and signal Chandigarh's victory.

Both teams failed to score in 70 minutes of regulation time and the first seven and a half minutes of 'silver goal' time.

Jugraj was adjudged man of the match.

With this win, Chandigarh Dynamos have four points from four matches, while Bangalore Lions have aggregated nine points from as many matches.
