East Bengal beat Mahindra United by a lone second half goal in the final to win the Nike Manchester United Premier Cup under-15 football tournament in Mumbai on Saturday.

The Kolkata outfit thus earned a berth in the South-East Asia regional finals of the competition to be held in Singapore in May.

The winner goal for East Bengal was notched by Biswajith Natte in the 31st minute through a free-kick taken from the right of the penalty box.

Each half was played over 20 minutes and East Bengal dominated the proceedings before emerging deserving winners.
