A stunning goal by The Netherlands' Tjeerd Steller during 'silver time' enabled Orissa Steelers beat Chandigarh Dynamos 1-0 in a Premier Hockey League match in Chennai on Saturday.

The teams were locked goalless at the end of regulation time.

This was Chandigarh Dynamos' second consecutive defeat.

In the sixth minute of silver time, Orissa Steelers earned a penalty-corner from which Steller made no mistake.

After 60 minutes, play was stopped for five minutes due to bad light, as the floodlights did not function due to a technical snag.

As per a new rule introduced in the tournament, the match proceeds to a 'silver time' when no goal is scored during regulation time. Which means seven-and-a-half minutes of extra-time are played and the team scoring first in this period is declared winner.
