India bag silver in 4x400m relay

India bagged the silver medal in the women's 4x400m relay at the 18th Commonwealth Games in Melbourne on Saturday.
 
The quartet of Rajwinder Kaur, Chitra Soman, Manjit Kaur and Pinki Parmanik completed the race in 3:29.57 to bag India's second athletics medal at the mega event.
 
England [Images] had earlier won the event but were later disqualified, giving Australia the gold.
 
The local team of Jana Pittman, Caitlin Willis, Tamasyn Lewis and Rosemary Hayward won with a time of 3:28.66 while Nigeria claimed the bronze with a timing of 3:31.83
