India finish sixth in men's hockey

India finished sixth in the men's hockey competition at the 18th Commonwealth Games after losing to New Zealand 1-2in Melbourne on Friday.

Sandeep Singh gave India the lead with a penalty corner conversion in the first half.

Bevan Harry then produced the equaliser for the Kiwis in the second half before slotting home the winner in extra time.

This team deserves to be dissolved, hockey is not any more a national game with such performances. Over years india has performed dismally in hockey. ...
