Goa's Fransa Pax Football club president Francisco Pacheco on Wednesday announced his decision to disband his club in protest against the AIFF for declaring Air India as the winner of the tie despite skipping their National Football League replay match against Fransa.

"My club will be officially closed from tomorrow," Pacheco said.

On February 24, Air India had filed a protest against AIFF's decision to replay the match against Fransa after the Goan side refused to turn up for the originally scheduled game on February 3, protesting 'poor' refereeing in their earlier match against Mahindra United.

The AIFF then rescheduled the match for March 2 but this time Air India protested, calling the decision unfair and sent its players on leave.
