Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] says he is impressed by the Latino style football that Brazil [Images] and Argentina have displayed in the World Cup at Germany [Images].

"I am very impressed by the Brazilian and Argentinean football teams. I particularly like the South American teams and I am very impressed by the way they play," Musharraf said in an interview to Al-Arabiya TV.

Musharraf, a sports buff and an avid fan of cricket, admitted that he was managing to take time out to watch the world cup matches and preferred the South Americans' short-pass game to the European long-pass.

"Both [Brazil and Argentina] had excellent short-games and worked on shorter passes."

Musharraf, early this year, flew to Lahore [Images] to watch the key India-Pakistan one-day cricket match and patted the man-of-the-match Mahendra Singh Dhoni [Images] by paying a rich complement to his hairstyle and advised him to maintain it.
