Leander Paes [Images] and Czech Republic's Martin Damm crashed out of the French Open men's doubles with a straight-set loss in the first round on Thursday.

Paes and Damm were subdued by Serbia's Janko Tipsarevic and Mikhail Youzhny of Russia [Images] 6-1, 7-6 (4).

Meanwhile, Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] has teamed up with Martina Hingis [Images] as he chases another mixed doubles crown. Bhupathi won the Australian Open earlier this year with Hingis. They take on Sofia Arvidsson of Sweden and Australia's Stephen Huss in the opening round.

Leander Paes is paired with Maria Kirilenko and the duo face American third seeds Meghann Shaughnessy and Mike Bryan.

Sania Mirza [Images] will play alongside Paul Hanley [Images] of Australia and the pair is up against legendary Martina Navratilova and Bob Bryan of the US, the sixth seeds.
