Chandi to lead junior hockey team in Singapore July 31, 2006 16:21 IST Guruvinder Singh Chandi will lead the Indian junior hockey team in a four-nation tournament in Singapore, from August 3 to 6. Malaysia, Singapore and Pakistan are the other teams taking part in the tournament, an Indian Hockey Federation statement said. The team: Goalkeepers: Mrinal Choubey and Vivek S Forwards: Gurvinder Singh Chandi (captain), Daler Singh, Dharmvir Singh, Alden D'Souza, Sarvanjit Singh, Danish Mujtaba, Chinglensana Singh, Gopikrishnan. Half-backs: G Singh, B Ganesh, Vikramjit Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Siddarth Pandey, Vikas Choudhary. Full-backs: Palwinder Singh, Harjit Singh, Ranjeet Singh. Officials: Romesh Pathania (chief coach), Ravivarma C S (coach), Murugappan P L (physio), H S Cheema (trainer), Stephen Balasamy (manager), Virender Singh (umpire).
