Sania Mirza moved into the doubles semi-finals of the USD 600,000 Bank of the West Classic WTA tournament at Stanford, USA.

In a second round match last night, Sania, partnering with Bethanie Mattek of the US beat compatriot Shikha Uberoi and Jelena Jankovic of Serbia and Montenegro 6-2, 6-2 in a convincing fashion.

In the semis clash, the Indo-US duo will meet the winner of the match between Ukranian pair of Alona Bondarenko and Kateryna Bondarenko and Marta Camerin of Italy and Glsela Dulko of Argentina.
