Leander Paes and Martin Damm stormed into the quarter-finals of the men's doubles at Wimbledon on Monday.

The seventh seeded Indo-Czech pair had things their way while beating Cyril Suk and Robin Vik of the Czech Republic 6-2, 6-1, 7-6(7-1) in a third round match.

They meet the winners of the match between Irakli Labadze/Dusan Vemic and fourth seeds Paul Henley/Kevin Ullett.

Paes, the Indian Davis Cup spearhead, also advanced in the mixed doubles. He and Australia's Samantha Stosur beat Paul Hanley and Tatiana Perebiynis in a close second round match.

The fourth seeds prevailed over the Aussie-Ukrainian duo 4-6, 6-3, 12-10.

However, the Indian challenge in the tournament was reduced as Sania Mirza crashed out of the women's doubles.
