Hockey players injured in mishap

India internationals Rajpal Singh and Baljeet Singh were injured in a road mishap in Chandigarh on Sunday, police said.

Both the players were traveling in a car when it was hit by another vehicle at a crossing in the city, police said.

Rajpal Singh is captain of Chandigarh Dynamos and Indian Oil Corporation [Get Quote] player Baljeet Singh is also representing the same team in the ongoing Premier Hockey League in the city.

Both have been admitted to a private hospital in Mohali near Chandigarh.

According to doctors attending on them, both were stable and were being kept under observation.

While Rajpal has sustained an eye injury, Baljeet has suffered a head injury.
