Leander Paes and Martin Damm advanced to the second round of the men's doubles of Sydney International in Sydney on Tuesday beating Agustin Calleri of Argentina and Spain's Tommy Robredo.

The Indo-Czech pair scored a convincing 6-1, 6-4 win in their first round match of the USD 419,000 event.

They will face top seeds Bob and Mike Bryan in the quarter-finals.
