Indian Oil pip Army XI

Indian Oil [Get Quote], Bharat Petroleum and Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB) registered victories in the three Super League matches of the All India Maharaja Ranjit Singh Hockey Tournament at the Shivaji Stadium in Delhi, on Monday.

Indian Oil defeated Army XI 3-2 in a keen contest.

Prabhjot Singh (20th, 30th minutes) scored a brace while Inderjit Singh Chadha (48th) netted once for Indian Oil.

Dhananjay Mahadik sounded the board twice (61st, 64th minutes) for Army XI.

Bharat Petroleum fought back to beat Air India 3-1 in another match. Bruno Hadrian drew first blood for Air India in the 10th minute. But Len Aiyappa scored off a penalty stroke and P Bellary struck twice (39th and 68th minutes) to snatch victory for Bharat Petroleum.

In the third match, PSB pipped South Central Railway (SCR) by a solitary goal.

Rajvinder Singh shot home the all-important goal in the 56th minute.
