Former Delhi footballer dead

Former Delhi footballer Bachan Singh died this morning in mysterious circumstances. He was 57.

Bachan, who was working as Senior Auditor, fell from therooftop of the AGCR building at ITO.

Police is probing whether it was a freak accident or a case of suicide, a Delhi Soccer Association official said.

Singh, who played for Delhi state junior and senior teams in various national championships like Durand Cup and IFA Shield, is believed to have been suffering from depression for the past few days.

He left behind his wife and three daughters. The DSA condoled his death.
