Xu Kun snared gold in the men's individual and team 50 metre pistol events, as China's golden shooting spree continued at the Asian Games on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Xu recovered from a poor third attempt in the 10-shot final before easing to victory over Rashid Yunusmetov of Kazakhstan.

North Korea's Kim Jong-su took third place.

Chinese world champion Tan Zongliang faded to finish fifth, but still collected a gold in the team event with Xu and Pang Wei.

North Korea claimed the team silver, edging the South into bronze.

China have swept 14 of the 20 titles decided so far at the shooting range and look set to add to their tally with more golds up for grabs on Tuesday.

The Asian powerhouse won 27 shooting gold medals at the 2002 Busan Asian Games.
