Kashyap bows out of Hong Kong Open August 31, 2006 16:39 IST P Kashyap, India's last hope in the Hong Kong Open badminton championship, bowed out after losing a keenly-contested pre-quarter-final to Olympic champion Taufiq Hidayat of Indonesia. Kashyap, who upset world No. 19 Przemyslaw Wacha of Poland on Wednesday, came up with another gritty performance but was subdued 21-17, 21-17 by the veteran Indonesian shuttler. Hidayat, the reigning world champion, set up a quarter-final clash with top seed Lin Dan of China, who prevailed over Kay Bin Yeoh of Malaysia 21-16, 21-16.
