India's Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] and Radek Stepanek of Czech Republic bowed out of the Monte Carlo Masters doubles after a semi-final loss to top seeds Jonas Bjorkman and Max Mirnyi on Saturday.

Bhupathi-Stepanek, who overcame Swiss duo Roger Federer [Images] and Yves Allegro in the quarterfinal match, lost 3-6, 5-7 against the sharp play of Bjorkman and Mirnyi.

Bjorkman-Mirnyi will take on number three seeds Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjic in the final of the 2,082,500 euros tournament.
