British Asian Rugby Association (BARA) and Bangalore entered the semifinals of the All-India and South Asia Rugby Tournament in Mumbai after scoring facile victories on Tuesday.

BARA made short work of Maharashtra State Police, beating the latter 68-5 after leading 34-0 at the half-way point, and would meet holders Chennai Cheetahs in the semifinal on Thursday.

The other semifinal would pit Bangalore, who outclassed Delhi [Images] Lions 44-3 (half time 22-3), against hosts and last year's losing finalists Bombay Gymkhana.

Both Chennai and Bombay Gymkhana got byes in the quarter finals.

The results: (Quarter finals): BARA (British Asian Rugby Association) 68 (Rashid Mehmood 5 tries, Leon Parrott 2 tries, Manny Rehaz 1 try, Jag Johal 1 try, Jag Johal Sr. 1 try, Janaid Malik 1 try and 3 Conversion, Ben Ken 1 try & 1 Conversion) bt MSP (Maharashtra Sate Police) 5 (Parag Ambekar 1 try). Half time 34-0.

Bangalore 44 (John Sione 2 tries, Feto Toki 1 try, Vinay Rai 1 try, Puneeth Krishnamurthy 1 try, Vuki Ulaiasi 1 try, Taniela Mahe 1 try, John Kendal 1 try & 1 Conversion, Tarun Appanna 1 Conversion) bt Delhi Lions 3 (Happy Lauchab 1 Penalty Kick). Half time 22-3.
