BAR's Takuma Sato says he has made his peace with Ferrari's [Images] Michael Schumacher [Images] during a talk at the Brazilian Grand Prix.

Formula One's seven-times world champion Schumacher angrily cuffed Sato's helmet at the last Belgian Grand Prix after the Japanese ran into the back of him, putting both out of the Spa race.

The German said he did not know what sort of therapy might help Sato, who has been involved in numerous collisions in the past.

"We are okay," said Sato at Interlagos on Friday. "It's in the past, obviously it was racing and it's all done now.

"I spoke to him here, in the toilet."

Sato heard this week that he would not be driving for BAR next year, with Briton Jenson Button [Images] staying after paying Williams to release him from a contract. Brazilian Rubens Barrichello has also been signed from Ferrari.

"Before today it was a bit difficult, of course," said Sato. "But once you get back in the car, really I am happy in the cockpit, happy to work with the people who are really supportive.

"I am enjoying every single Grand Prix. Although my future isn't clear at the moment, I really want to have good races in the last three."

The Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka is the next race after Brazil [Images] and Sato is the only Japanese driver in Formula One.
