Jeev Milkha Singh [Images] brought in his best round of the week, at three-under 68, to vault to tied 23rd place from overnight 46th at the end of the Fujisankei Classic, at the Fuji Sakura Country Club in Tokyo.

The Indian golfer had a bogey on the second and eighth, but birdies on the third and sixth saw him turn at even par.

However, three birdies on the back nine saw him end at 68 and two-over 286.

He putted very well with just 23 putts, the best of the week, and that was despite finding only 50 per cent of the greens in regulation.

Daisuke Maruyama, the overnight leader, had only a par round of 71, but still finished seven shots ahead of second-placed Shingo Katayama (70), who moved from third to second at six-under 278.

J D Kim (66) and A Yano (68) were the big movers as they finished tied third at five-under 279 for the tournament.
